Last weekend, EverReady Band proudly took the stage at the prestigious British Open, performing the evocative and challenging test piece Star Crossed Lovers. The band rose to the occasion with a passionate interpretation of a piece that demands both technical precision and emotional depth.
Musical Director David Morton led the band with energy and insight, drawing out the drama and tenderness of the score, inspired by Shakespeare’s timeless tale of love and tragedy. From the lyrical solos to the powerful ensemble climaxes, EverReady delivered a performance that was both musically sensitive and full of character.
“It was a fantastic experience,” said Jillian Dixon, band manager. “Star Crossed Lovers really pushed us, but we embraced the challenge and are proud of the music we made together on stage. The response from the band under David Morton was truly encouraging.”
